Foreign natural persons legally residing in Ecuador shall be able to invest as nationals, without need of prior qualifications; therefore, these investments are not subject to registration.

Likewise, investments made in an existing company or to be organised in Ecuador by Ecuadorian corporations qualified as foreign companies under the provisions of Decision 291 will be considered as national investments. In no case shall prior authorisation by any national agency be required.
