There
are
many
routes
of
access
to
the
Park,
of
which
the
majority
require
a
lot
of
walking
along
pathways
in
good
condition
but
which
worsen
during
the
rainy
season.
The
scenery
observed
from
these
pathways
is
definitely
worth
the
effort.
The
road
connecting
Banos
and
Riobamba
,
continuing
as
the
Pan-American
Highway
between
Riobamba
and
Azogues,
constitutes
the
principle
access
route
to
the
west
of
the
Park
(or
upper
zone)
from
where
there
are
several
pathways
leading
to
the
interior
of
the
area.
The
Puyo-Macas
highway
is
the
main
route
of
access
to
the
eastern
or
lower
part
of
the
Park.
