Gualaceo
is a small
modern town
lying East
of Cuenca
nestled in
charming landscapes.
Check out
the new church
with it decorative
stained glass
windows. On
the main street
close to the
bus
station
there's a
good selection
of woolen
clothes. You
can also pick
up some locally
made shoes
for bargain
prices.
There are
two main weaving
communities
around Gualaceo
that are worth
visiting.
The Bulzhun
[10
minutes from
Gualaceo]
and the Bulcay
communities
both make
good "macanas"
[Ikat
