With
so many gringos
coming into
town for the
market, there
are several
laid back
restaurants
where you
can hang out,
meet people
and read the
experiences
of fellow
travelers
in what are
known as “the
good, the
bad and the
ugly” comment
books. Oh,
and you can
also have
something
to eat and
drink. One
of the best-known
such places
used to be
an unpretentious
little pie
shop overlooking
Poncho Plaza
called Shenandoah.
It is still
there and
you can still
get good pies,
ice creams
and milkshakes,
but as Otavalo
becomes increasingly
popular the
competition
is growing.
